		<description>The by-election is using the Single Transferable Vote form of proportional representation.

That means you can vote for one, some or all of the candidates by ranking them between 1 and up to 7.

One benefit of this system is that every vote counts, and counts against the party or candidate(s) that you don&#039;t vote for.

For example, if there is 1, 2 or 3 candidates you really don&#039;t want to win, you can vote for everybody else in order of your personal preference, and all of those votes will count against the candidate or parties you don&#039;t want to win.</description>
